Angles
So in the past two weeks I have posted two pictures of myself on Facebook; full face pictures--not a whole body shot, gross. So I got great feedback from these pictures from people I have seen recently and people I haven't seen for over a year.
I have to tell you, I always feel a little bad for the people I haven't seen for a while when I post these pictures because the picture is a lie. Of course I post the best picture possible of myself... Would an insecure narcissist do anything else?!?
So here's the truth. Take any picture I post, typically add an additional chin, and maybe some more cheek and there we have it. Oh? You need proof? Here is the most recent picture:
Yeah awesome right? Look at those cheek bones and that defined chin!!! This is what it took to get there:
(NOTE DOUBLE CHIN)
(EXHIBIT B: NECK FAT, CHEEK FAT)
WHOA! Has anyone seen Total Recall?
STRETCH THAT NECK TESSA!
So it took all of these pictures to find the right angel to make me look presentable. Now you people have mostly seen me in person. You know what I look like, it's not like I am posting these misleading pictures on a dating site but don't let me fool you. Oh you need more proof? The wedding.
Look how pretty I was that day! The chosen pictures:
The discarded pictures:
So whenever someone says "Tessa, you look AWESOME" I really want to say "Oh, it is just the camera angle" and most times I do say that but the truth is...if I didn't want people to think I looked good, I wouldn't post the best picture or try so hard to get a good angle right?
